Glancing at these photos, you may wonder how this change happened. The exhausted starved dry faces of these innocent children have become fresh with a rush of fresh blood, the tattered dirty white uniforms have turned into freshly washed brilliant white ones, and naked thin toed feet with broken nails have shoes and socks to protect them. Once tired sad eyes have some hope in them now to look at you straight in to your eyes with gratitude and self-pride.
It is not ‘Black magic’ it is your own contribution that has done this change into their lives, these innocent children have a right to these basic facilities as our children do, the only difference is that they are born to less fortunate parents in deprived areas in our Motherland. Therefore it is our duty to be the providers even in a minute way. Be happy you have done it; there is still a lot to achieve. Please continue to help this skilful project. You will receive happiness and contentment through their eyes!
Also in the photos you see the promised library project is coming to life, the building still needs our generous donation to become habitable.
Thanks to our president Mrs Priya Siriwardane who takes a keen interest to visit these sites personally, spending her own funds to supervise these projects. She has given gifts of stationery to the high achieving children as a token of encouragement and she will be happy to take any small items as pens etc.when she leaves for Srilanka shortly.
We always appreciate your kind donation!
May you be well and happy.
